Custom Keynotes and Workshops

A full-day workshop in a retreat setting

Leading a session for a teacher leadership group

Small-group work, mid-session
Every organization runs on the nervous systems of the people inside it. The tension one person carries into a shift moves through a building faster than any policy does. So does steadiness, when someone knows how to hold it.

That steadiness can be taught, and teaching it is the work I bring into a room.

I speak and lead workshops for leaders, teams, and the people who keep an organization running. I have spent thirty years teaching adults, and I build every session so people leave with something they can actually use.
What I Offer
Custom workshops & Staff Retreats
Half day or full day, for a whole staff or a single team. Designed with you from the ground up, around what your people are actually dealing with. They leave with tools they can use the same week.

Keynotes

One hour, built for a full room, from a conference stage to an all-staff gathering. People leave seeing themselves and their situation a little differently, and with something they can carry into the very next day.

Topics
A starting point.
Every talk is shaped to your group, and I am glad to build something new
around what you need.
The Heart of Leadership: Becoming What You Want the World to Feel
What people feel when you walk in is part of how you lead.
From Reaction to Response
Catching yourself in a hard moment and choosing what comes next, instead of letting the day choose for you.
Caring Without Carrying
Showing up fully for the people you serve without taking the whole weight home.
Steady Under Pressure
Staying grounded when the day is loud, fast, and asking more than there is time for.
The Hard Conversation
Handling the conversation you have been avoiding without it escalating, and understanding what is underneath it.
How I Build It
Before an engagement, I ask the stakeholders what they are facing. The session gets built around what comes back.

Then the room does the work. People talk, practice, and test ideas against their own situations, because the learning that lasts is the learning they do themselves. I come in knowing exactly what a group needs to walk out with, and I read the room closely enough to get them there the way that particular room can.

For decades I have led leadership and professional development for educators, and the same work moves easily into any organization. A district, a conference, a small business, a boardroom.
